A Southfield-based hospital has changed its name and has out itself in a strong financial position based on a recent Crain’s Detroit Business article. Providence Hospital in Southfield has a new name! Southfield’s largest healthcare facility, and one of the larger hospitals in southeastern Michigan is now Ascension Providence Hospital. Starting this month Providence officially became a part of Ascension Michigan’s hospital system. See more from the June 7 Detroit News article below.
A public hearing will be held on April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the City of Southfield’s Main Office to discuss the Southfield DDA’s restated development and tax increment financing plans for 2017. Pacific Medical Buildings of San Diego is involved in discussions with the City of Southfield about using and rebuilding up to 25 acres of the previous Northland Mall property for a variety of medical uses.
